A delegation of scholars and activists from the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine and the International Scholars Forum for Palestine visited the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott. This visit is the first of its kind to introduce national and popular efforts to support the Palestinian people.
During its seven-day visit, the delegation met with many leaders of political parties, civil activists and Mauritanian national figures.
The visit has many objectives, such as to open new relations with influential international figures and scholars from various Islamic sects and countries, to enhance their role in adopting the Palestinian cause, shed light on the crimes committed by the usurping entity in Gaza, clarify the extent of the serious challenges facing Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the role of Scholars in defending it and other religious places in Palestine, preserving them in the face of Zionist ambitions.
During the visit and meetings, the delegation stressed the importance of keep up with the events in the Gaza Strip and living up to the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people.
The delegation stated that this visit falls within the framework of cooperation between the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine and scholars and influential leaders in the Islamic world to exchange ideas, maintain momentum and support the rightful cause of Palestine, which was and still is at the forefront of Arab and Islamic attention, especially the recent war on Gaza.
