With the participation of the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine, the Second International Palestine Conference was held at the University of Karachi under the title “The Palestinian Quest.”
The Palestine Academic Forum, Palestine Foundation Pakistan (a member of the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine), and representatives of Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, and the Russian Federation participated in the conference.
In a speech by the Vice President of the University of Karachi, Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmoud Iraqi, said: “We have gathered here to express solidarity with the Palestinian issue, and this is not only the issue of Muslims and Arabs, but the issue of all humanity, and it is a matter of justice and equality.”
Dr. Iraqi demanded an immediate ceasefire in Palestine and an end to the aggression on Gaza. He supported Pakistan’s position that it presented before the International Court of Justice for the sake of Palestine, and said: “We support the right of return and self-determination for the Palestinians.”
The Malaysian Consul General, Harman Hardinata, said in his speech during the conference: “More than 2 million people are homeless in Palestine, and the martyrs are excedding30 thousand, while the number of women and children among martyrs is high, and the infrastructure in Gaza is destroyed.”
The Consul General of Indonesia, Dr. John Kokoro Hadiningrat, also said: “The time has come for us now to think about changing the veto power of Security Council members.”

At the end of the conference, the Secretary-General of the Palestine Pakistan Foundation, Dr. Saber Abu Maryam, thanked all the guests and participants in the conference, and all participants also expressed their solidarity with the Palestinians, calling for an end to the barbaric aggression against them.
