Harvard Students Continue their Movement in Support of Palestine

Despite the pressure on Harvard University by groups supporting the usurping entity in the United States, students are continuing their demonstrations in support of Palestine and criticizing the attacks of the usurping entity on the Gaza Strip.

Guillermo Silva, a student in the Department of Politics and Philosophy at Harvard University, told Anadolu’s correspondent: “Unfortunately, these days, newspaper and media headlines talk about us more than what is happening in the Gaza Strip.”

Silva noted, “Harvard’s student body is very active politically, and since October 7, pro-Palestinian activity has become very visible on campus.”

He pointed out that “for many pro-Palestinian activists, the current situation on campus is one of fear and caution because no one is certain of what will happen in the future.”

He added: “We know that the university president, Gay, was forced to resign,” noting that she “was subjected to great criticism for not preventing student bodies from organizing pro-Palestinian demonstrations.”

He explained, “The Palestine Solidarity Committee is a group of Harvard University students who care about Palestine, international law, and preventing civilian suffering. Anyone who believes that targeting us forcefully would discourage us from caring about these issues is wrong.”
