Despite all the failed attempts by the occupying entity to erase the identity of our Palestinian people, the steadfastness continues in Gaza and the West Bank, reaching the town of Qabatiya, which has endured over ten hours of aggression, resulting in the martyrdom of five Palestinians and dozens of injuries.

This aggression included a dangerous unprecedent act of besieging students in two schools and targeting journalists, alongside widespread destruction of infrastructure.

The occupying forces stormed the front yard of Izzat Abu Rub School accompanied by a military bulldozer, firing shots in its vicinity and around Qabatiya School, where approximately 1,200 students and staff were present.

Dozens of students suffered from suffocation due to inhaling of tear gas, which the occupation forces released heavily towards Abu Rub School, that, along with Qabatiya School, was besieged, causing extreme panic among students and faculty staff.

The Director of Education in Qabatiya, Ahmad Jarrara, announced the evacuation of around 1,000 students after they were besieged inside Izzat Abu Rub Secondary School and Qabatiya Upper Elementary School.

The Wall and Settlement Affairs Commission reported that the occupation seized 732,719 dunams of land from the villages of Bardala and Tayaseer to expand a military site for the occupation army, as well as approximately 6,712 dunams from the city of Tubas for the benefit of the “Maskiyot” settlement built on Palestinian land.

This incident is not merely a transient incursion, but a new aggression in which the entity targeted students’ schools, which are protected under international law guaranteed by United Nations agreements regarding children and the right to education.
