As the usurping entity’s crimes intensify in Gaza and Palestinian suffering resonates deeply with the conscience of the Arab peoples, the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine (GCRP) has finalized its preparations for the fourth edition of the “Al-Aqsa Call” International Conference in Iraq — a historic moment that calls on the Ummah to reshape its collective stance on Palestine, Jerusalem, and resistance.

The first spark of this conference was ignited in 2022 in the city of Karbala, where religious, political, and intellectual figures from across the globe came together under the banner of “Jerusalem is our unifying cause” and “Palestine is the axis of the Ummah.” The event was part of a broader vision adopted by GCRP to promote unified grassroots action for the Palestinian cause.

This year’s edition of “Al-Aqsa Call” will bring together a diverse range of participants — scholars from various schools of thought, independent thinkers, activists, leaders of liberation movements, and anti-normalization advocates. It reflects the inclusive nature of the conference, which places Palestine at the heart of popular, religious, political, media, and grassroots action, rather than reducing it to mere discourse.

Held amid the ongoing genocidal war waged by the usurping entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the conference is expected to become a bold platform of resistance, issuing a unified call to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, to end the aggression, and to lift the siege that has turned the Strip into an open-air prison claiming the lives of children, the sick, and the starving.

GCRP views this conference as a strategic space to unite grassroots energies from around the world and redirect them toward impactful action. It goes beyond statements of condemnation, aiming instead to expose and document the crimes of the occupation, coordinate efforts among rights-based and media institutions, and present a clear vision for mobilizing international public opinion and forming a moral and legal front to stop the ongoing killing and starvation in Gaza.
