One year and counting for one of the most horrific tragedies that the Gaza Strip has ever witnessed, and Lebanon is experiencing same thing today. The massacres committed by the occupying entity against the children of Palestine and Lebanon have culminated in catastrophic numbers that will not be erased from the world’s memory. Today, Palestinians and Lebanese find themselves caught in a cycle of repeated displacement, genocide, and the loss of basic necessities of life.

In every home and every family, there is at least a martyr, or a wounded, while entire families have been wiped out, and tents and homes of the displaced have been bombed in areas the occupying entity claimed to be “safe”.Diseases have spread everywhere. Every Gazan and Lebanese now has a story to tell that encapsulates a year of ongoing genocide.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) confirms that more than 100 children were martyred, and 690 others were injured in the “Israeli” attacks on Lebanon in 11 days.

The Director General of the Media Office in Gaza, Ismail Al-Thawabta, reported just days ago that “around 17,000 Palestinian children have been martyred in the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing Zionist aggression since October 7, 2023.”

Al-Thawabta explained that “25,973 Palestinian children in the Strip are now living without one or both of their parents due to the Zionist aggression, including 12,063 orphaned girls and 13,340 orphaned boys.”

The martyrdom of these children reflects the highest meanings of sacrifice and reveals the ugly face of the occupying entity that kills innocent, newborn children, blatantly violating all international norms and conventions.
