The Global Campaign to Return to Palestine affirmed in a message to its members around the world that the announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza is a step long overdue, following a horrific war of extermination waged by the usurping entity, which left tens of thousands of martyrs and missing persons and destroyed most of the vital foundations of life in the Strip.
The Campaign praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, who—despite the siege and massacres—have succeeded in proving the justice of their cause and expanding the circle of global human solidarity with their struggle for freedom and return. It also expressed deep appreciation for the tremendous efforts made by its members and partners over the past two years to expose the crimes of the usurping entity and to strengthen solidarity movements worldwide.
GCRP warned that the coming stage requires vigilance and doubled efforts, given the ongoing siege and the possibility of renewed aggression at any moment, as well as the attempts of the usurping entity to evade accountability for its war crimes. It stressed that the ceasefire does not mean the end of the tragedy as long as the occupation persists and continues to deny the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Campaign concluded its message by calling for greater coordination and cooperation among its members and supporters around the world, in order to continue supporting the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and dignity, and to advance the development of global solidarity efforts in support of Palestine.
