On the day following the conclusion of the official sessions of the Fourth International Conference of “the Call of Al-Aqsa,” solidarity activities with Palestine continued in Karbala, reaffirming the enduring field and cultural mission of the conference.

In this context, the Legal Custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, received a number of the conference’s delegates this morning, including religious and intellectual figures. The meeting underscored the centrality of the Palestinian cause in the conscience of the Ummah, and the necessity of continuing both religious and grassroots efforts to support the Palestinian people in the face of siege and genocide.

The participants emphasized that what is happening in Gaza is a moral and humanitarian test that demands sincere global action. They called for translating the outcomes of the “Call of Al-Aqsa” conference into tangible steps in the fields of relief, media, and boycott. They also stressed the importance of expanding religious and popular engagement with the Palestinian cause, linking it to the values of freedom and dignity embodied by Karbala.

For his part, the Legal Custodian of the Holy Shrine affirmed that Palestine remains the central cause of the Muslim Ummah, and that defending it is a religious and moral duty that does not expire with time. He noted that Karbala, as a symbol of sacrifice and resistance, will remain a steadfast platform for supporting Palestine, and that religious institutions are called upon to play their role in raising awareness and guiding the Ummah toward practical stances that confront occupation and oppression beyond mere slogans.

Later this evening, the fifth edition of the “Call of Al-Aqsa Procession” will be launched at milestone 833 along the Najaf–Karbala road, with wide participation from supporters. The procession serves as a dynamic platform for raising awareness about the Palestinian cause from the heart of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The event will feature photo exhibitions, educational discussions, Palestinian flags and banners, along with the distribution of slogans and images that portray the suffering and resilience of Gaza’s people—aiming to carry the voice of Palestine to millions of Imam Hussein’s visitors from around the world.
