The city of Karbala witnessed the conclusion of the Fourth International Conference of the call of Al-Aqsa , held under the slogan: “From Karbala to Palestine: The Journey of Sacrifice for Freedom, Dignity, and Victory,” with the participation of religious, political, and intellectual figures from more than 30 countries. Together, they brought to the world a living cry of conscience against the ongoing injustice and genocide in Gaza.
In this profound spiritual and political gathering, the guests’ words became a true reflection of Gaza’s pain and a resistant declaration against international betrayal, as voices united—despite differences in language and background—to proclaim that wounded Palestine is the voice of global truth in the face of oppression and tyranny.
Gaza is not a passing issue… but the Karbala of our time
In an emotional speech, Palestinian Dr. Mohyeddine Al-Tahrawi said:
“I did not come as a visitor but as a witness to the pain… More than 60 martyrs from my family alone fell under the enemy’s bombardment. Gaza today is not a passing humanitarian catastrophe, but a project of systematic genocide committed in full view of the world and under a disgraceful international cover.”
He added: “Gaza is the Karbala of our time, and the patience of its women is the patience of Zainab, and the blood of its children is an extension of the blood of Hussein.”
As for surgeon Dr. Mohammad Taher, who served in Gaza during the war, he delivered a speech in which he described what he witnessed, saying:
“I was in Gaza removing shrapnel from children’s bodies, hearing their screams under the rubble, amputating their limbs, and crying in silence… but I felt the pulse of Hussein’s call piercing my heart: (Is there anyone to support us?)”
He added: “Gaza is not a tragedy, but a Karbala front, and standing with it is not an emotion, but a religious, prophetic, and existential stance.”
Gaza is screaming… and the world is ignoring
For his part, Palestinian activist Ahmad Al-Barghouthi said:
Gaza, this small besieged city, has become a symbol of suffering and resilience in the face of injustice.
Under bombardment, hunger, and destruction, Gaza screams, but the world does not hear—or chooses to ignore.
Statements are still being drafted, slogans are raised, faces frown in condemnation—and then nothing.
The people chant, the regimes denounce, but Gaza’s children are buried in silence, and its homes are destroyed without any real reaction.
The Al-Aqsa Flood exposed the masks and toppled the lies
Sheikh Abu Al-Anwar Mohammad Jurmah Khater delivered a resounding message, saying:
“The Al-Aqsa Call is holier than all the conferences of shame, and the October 7th Flood exposed falsehood and toppled the fake masks that hid behind the guise of humanity and politics.”
He added: “Resistance is not a political option, but the very essence of truth, and whoever does not support it is openly siding with falsehood.”
From Russia… a call to unify ranks and reject normalization
For his part, the Head of the Religious Administration for Muslims of the Asian Part of the Russian Federation, Sheikh Younes Ashirov, stressed that the Palestinian cause represents a test for the global conscience, and that the religious and humanitarian duty demands the unification of all forces rejecting the occupation and the rejection of all forms of normalization.
He called for practical, ongoing initiatives to support education, health, and relief, and to mobilize global public opinion to break the siege and expose the occupation in the media and legal fields.
As for Turkish MP Dogan Bekin, he affirmed that what is happening in Gaza is outright genocide, committed by the usurping entity with direct American support, while Arab and Muslim rulers remain silent.
He said: “Palestine is being snatched from our hands, and the voice of Gaza’s besieged children has reached Karbala today, to declare that resistance is the key to return and liberation.”
From Pakistan: Karbala and Palestine are one image against tyranny
The President of the Supreme Court Bar Association in Pakistan, lawyer Mohammad Sarfaraz Mitlo, spoke of the deep connection between the sacrifices of Karbala and the steadfastness of Palestine, and that resistance for Al-Aqsa Mosque today is a living continuation of Imam Hussein’s message in defending the oppressed, no matter the cost.
He said: “Our journey from Karbala to Palestine is paved with sacrifices, but it is necessary to restore dignity.”
Iraqi Fatwa Authority: Those who remain silent are partners in the crime
Sheikh Amer Al-Bayati delivered a speech on behalf of the General Secretariat of the Iraqi Fatwa Authority, in which he addressed the Islamic nation, saying:
“Those who are slaughtering Gaza are the ones placing knives in the hands of the Zionists and remaining silent about Gaza’s massacres. Let them know that their silence will be questioned before God.”
From China… the solidarity of living nations is unbeatable
Chinese activist Li Xiu Hin, representative of the “Baida Relief Organization,” sent a message of solidarity from the heart of China, affirming that one wound is the wound of all, and that Gaza is being exterminated before the eyes of the world with American and Zionist tools.
He pointed to heroic examples of global solidarity—from China to New York—resisting the siege and propaganda, and supporting Gaza despite the risks.
The voice of art… the steadfastness of the Palestinian people
Palestinian artist Walid Saadeddine presented a powerful artistic segment that embodied the reality of the Palestinian people and their suffering amid the ongoing genocide carried out by the usurping entity amid suspicious international silence, affirming the steadfastness of Palestinians on their land and in their homeland until comprehensive victory is achieved.
Closing session: The resistance alliance begins in Karbala
At the end of the session, the speakers confirmed that the gathering in Karbala was not a passing event, but the founding of a spiritual and field-based resistance alliance that links Karbala of Hussein to Palestine, principle to reality, and cry to sacrifice.
The voices were united in declaring that supporting Palestine is a duty, resistance is a right, normalization is betrayal, silence is complicity, and history will not forgive the negligent.
