On 28 of May 2023, the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine launched the activities of the “First International Forum for Ambassadors of Return,” in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The forum was held for the first time over three days, in the presence of political, sports, and artistic personalities, as well as elite influencers from 24 countries, who have worked for the Palestinian cause and defended the rights of its people.

The activities of the forum included visits to Borj Barajne Palestinian camp, dialogue sessions, an honoring ceremony, and a tour to some landmarks  in southern Lebanon.

The campaign granted, in the name of the Palestinian people, the “Ambassador of Return” status to those personalities during the forum, in appreciation of their devoted humanitarian stances with Palestine and its people.

Dr. Abd al-Malik Sukkariyeh, ensured that the participating personalities were carefully selected among the activists who are known in supporting the Palestinian cause and defending it in international forums. Sukkariyeh stated that the objective of the forum is to spread the Palestinian narration, in the face of the forged Israeli narrative, and to liberate international public opinion from it, thus informing them by the truth about what really happened, so that they can be participants in the struggle of the Palestinian people, each in his own way, until the Palestinians obtain their full rights, mainly the right of return of all the Palestinian people to all Palestine, from the river to the sea.

The forum witnessed the participation of Mandla Mandela, a member of the South African Parliament and grandson of the South African leader Nelson Mandela; beside Aleida Guevara, the daughter of the international struggler Che Guevara; in addition to the Indian politician and writer Tushar Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Mayadeen News Network Mr. Ghassan Bin Jaddo, the Bahraini vocalist Sheikh Hussein Al-Akraf, the Lebanese artist Moein Sharif, and the well known sports commentator Hafid Deraji.

Also personalities from Palestine and other Arab countries are participating in the forum, including the father of the martyr Muhammad Durra Mr. Jamal, the iconic Palestinian lady, Mother of martyrs and detainees, Mrs. Latifa Abu Hmeid, Intifada figure Wael Juda and others.
