The Third International Conference of the Call of Al-Aqsa starts next Monday in the Iraqi city of Karbala.
The sponsoring bodies and organizing committees continue with the preparations for the launching of the Third International Conference of the Call of Al-Aqsa onthe specified date. The conference is being held in conjunction with the epic of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, and in support for the struggle of the Palestinian people, and to denounce the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which the Palestinians are facing with the greatest steadfastness and sacrifice.
The first activity of the Third International Conference of the Call of Al-Aqsa is scheduled to begin next Monday, August 12, 2024, in the Iraqi city of Karbala, with the participation of international, Arab and Islamic personalities from about 60 countries around the world. The conference is organized by the “Global Campaign to Return to Palestine” and the “Global Scholars Forum for Palestine”, under the patronage and hosting of the General Secretariat of Al-Hussein Holy Shrine.
The various conference activities will be held over four consecutive days, with the first day witnessing several activities that begin with a visit by the participating delegations to the shrine of Imam Hussein, and performing congregational prayers at the Al-Hussein Holy Shrine, followed by a reception for the participating delegations by Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, the legal custodian of Al-Hussein Holy Shrine. At six o’clock in the evening of the same day, the opening session of the Third International Conference of the Call of Al-Aqsa will be held at Al-Zahraa University, in which speeches will be given by representatives of the conference organizers and the most prominentparticipating Palestinian and international figures.
On the second day, Tuesday, August 13, the conference participants will be divided into three subcommittees, under various titles that address the Palestinian cause and Al-Aqsa flood from several religious, educational, media and legal aspects, in addition to shedding light on approaches to the injustice of Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and what is happening today in Palestine in general and the Gaza Strip in particular in terms of Zionist massacres and violations, and emphasizing the necessity of educating free people about the importance of solidarity with the Palestinian people and supporting them in all forms and methods.
The second day concludes with a general session that ends with the recitation of the Closing Statement, which is expected to include several proposals and recommendations based on the general objectives of the Conference of the Call of Al-Aqsa.
The third day will witness a tour by the participating figures in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and a visit to some important sites such as the shrine of Imam Abu Hanifa al-Nu’man and the shrine of Sayyid Abdul Qadir al-Jilani.
Finally, the fourth day is dedicated to visiting the holy city of Najaf and the shrine of Al-Imam Ali, and it ends in the evening with the opening of the Mawkeb of the Call of Al-Aqsa on the Najaf-Karbala Road.
