The Zionist entity continues to kill journalists and workers from various media institutions in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and also in Lebanon, in an attempt to silence every voice trying to reveal the bitter reality resulting from the genocide war, and to obscure the truth and hide the crimes of the occupying entity.

On Friday morning, October 25, 2024, three Lebanese journalists were martyred as a result of a brutal bombing targeting their residence while they were sleeping in the town of Hasbaya, southern Lebanon.

Firas Al-Abyad, the Minister of Health in the Lebanese government, announced the death of 11 martyrs and the injury of 8 journalists in separate attacks since last October, until today.

Lebanese Minister of Information Ziad Makari confirmed that the Israeli occupation is assassinating journalists in Lebanon to prevent them from carrying out their duties in disseminating the truth, that it has committed a new war crime against journalists in Lebanon.

Makari expressed concerns about the possibility of the Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip extending to Lebanon, fearing that the Israeli extermination of journalists replicates in Lebanon.

In the Gaza Strip, the situation reveals a clearer picture of the media tragedy in Lebanon, with the number of journalist martyrs reaching 177, while more than 396 others have been injured, and approximately 36 have been detained in the jails of the occupying entity. Over 65 journalists have been detained from the West Bank since October 7 to date.

This direct and deliberate targeting of journalists, crews, and media institutions, which constitutes a blatant violation of press freedom and expression, reflects the brutality of the occupation and its attempt to silence the voice of truth, as captured by the cameras and messages conveyed by truthful media.
