The usurping entity continues its violations, attacks and crimes against the people of the Gaza Strip. Medical teams are among those who are subjected to these deliberate attacks.

The head of the maternity department at Kamal Adwan Hospital, the martyr doctor Iyad Al-Rantisi, was martyred inside the prisons of the usurping entity, and before him was doctor Adnan Al-Barsh. Same crime with same details is repeated with the usurping entity killing medical personnel in Gaza.

The testimony of these doctors reflects the highest meaning of sacrifice, and reveals the hideous face of the usurping entity that kills doctors, paramedics, health aid workers, and even civilians, flouting all international norms and conventions.

On November 10, 2023, the usurping entity had arrested Dr. Rantissi from Gaza, before the Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” announced on June 19, 2024, that he died a week after his arrest inside an investigation center affiliated with the “Alshabak” in the city of Ashkelan.

 

As for Dr. Al-Barash, he was arrested by the usurping entity in December 2023, before his death was announced on April 19, 2024.

 

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Munir Al-Barash, and the Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Hossam Abu Safiya, called for conducting an international investigation of the circumstances leading to the martyrdom of Dr. Adnan Al-Barash and Dr. Iyad Al-Rantisi in the prisons of the usurping entity.

 

Al-Barash said, during a press conference: The usurping entity killed more than 500 medical personnel, and arrested about 400 more.

 

 

The usurping entity’s crimes against medical personnel did not stop here. Rather, Doctors Without Borders had announced the martyrdom of one of its employees, who was killed while riding his bicycle to work, near the international organization’s clinic.

 

Caroline Seguin, director of operations for Doctors Without Borders in Palestine, condemned this killing, saying: “The killing of a health care worker while on his way to provide vital medical care to the wounded victims of the endless massacres across Gaza is “Very shocking.”
